Legal Eagles - where do you start?

I wanted to sell Tunes downloaded from my site. Now, We are located in Australia and I can tell you that it is a nightmare trying to figure it all out. Licenses, royalties blah blah.. It would be good if you could somehow transfer the rights of music industry people to the art world I would be a very happy woman!
