SL Bar Association

[2015/11/14 09:57]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): sam and i were talking about whether we should move the bar association to a smaller parcel of land

[2015/11/14 09:57]  Geri Kahn (geri.kuhn): That sounds like a good idea

[2015/11/14 09:57]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): we only use about 1/2 the land as it sits now

[2015/11/14 09:57]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): I'm just feeling a little burned out with the whole thing, and we are not attracting new blood.

[2015/11/14 09:58]  Geri Kahn (geri.kuhn): /me nods.

[2015/11/14 09:58]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): and i don't see that we are likely to make use of the remainder going forward

[2015/11/14 09:58]  Elizabeth (elizabethesq): Do you want to sell the parcel altogether and just rent elsewhere?

[2015/11/14 09:58]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): or abandon the land if there is not a taker on it

[2015/11/14 09:58]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): I want to support anyone who wants to continue, but I don't have much interest in thowing good money after bad.

[2015/11/14 09:58]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): perhaps we could find land that would just accommodate small offices for rent to members

[2015/11/14 09:59]  Elizabeth (elizabethesq): That wouldn't be the worst idea.

[2015/11/14 09:59]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): i'd be inclined to just move back to mainland that we could rent, perhaps closer to other groups that are somewhat related to us

[2015/11/14 10:00]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): hiya jerk

[2015/11/14 10:00]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): Hi Jerk!

[2015/11/14 10:00]  Elizabeth (elizabethesq): Don't think there's anything wrong with that idea.

[2015/11/14 10:00]  Jerkwad Borkotron: Hi Tim, Sam

[2015/11/14 10:00]  Elizabeth (elizabethesq): Hello!

[2015/11/14 10:00]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): That was not all that cool when we did it before.

[2015/11/14 10:00]  Jerkwad Borkotron: hi elizabeth

[2015/11/14 10:00]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): Remember the blood drops from the neighbors?

[2015/11/14 10:00]  Elizabeth (elizabethesq): lol

[2015/11/14 10:00]  Geri Kahn (geri.kuhn): /me smiles

[2015/11/14 10:00]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): well, perhaps we can try to avoid renting next to the undead the next time

[2015/11/14 10:00]  Elizabeth (elizabethesq): Hello!

[2015/11/14 10:01]  Geri Kahn (geri.kuhn): Well we never know who are neighbors are going to be

[2015/11/14 10:01]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): true

[2015/11/14 10:01]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): i don't think they were there when we originally took that rental originally

[2015/11/14 10:01]  Elizabeth (elizabethesq): We may need to spend some time really looking for a decent place to rent instead of just taking the first place that we find.  There's a lot out there.

[2015/11/14 10:01]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): I'd rather find a suitable Island that we can get four o five parcels on in  single location.

[2015/11/14 10:02]  Elizabeth (elizabethesq): That's a very feasible suggestion.  It's certainly doable.

[2015/11/14 10:02]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): elizabeth, eagreed

[2015/11/14 10:02]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): *agreed

[2015/11/14 10:02]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): it will take some planning anyway to move given all the furniture and building here

[2015/11/14 10:02]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): much of which i believe agenda owns

[2015/11/14 10:03]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): Yes, that would be for Agenda to deal with, I think.

[2015/11/14 10:03]  Jerkwad Borkotron: Why are you moving?

[2015/11/14 10:03]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): we just don't use the full sim and don't anticipate being able to use it in the future

[2015/11/14 10:03]  Elizabeth (elizabethesq): We are just discussing the possibility of moving to cut back on expenses.

[2015/11/14 10:03]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): so better to reduce costs

[2015/11/14 10:04]  Jerkwad Borkotron: ah I see but from what I'm seeing on that board you're running a profit

[2015/11/14 10:04]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): We have a fair amount of money.

[2015/11/14 10:04]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): So that is not the issue.

[2015/11/14 10:05]  Jerkwad Borkotron: Savings can be put towards the next official SL bar association meeting (in Aruba)

[2015/11/14 10:05]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): there you go

[2015/11/14 10:05]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): I think the issue is finding anyone who wants to participate.

[2015/11/14 10:05]  Jerkwad Borkotron: Hi Starlight

[2015/11/14 10:05]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): we have a total of 10 people that rent offices and/or land below on the sim

[2015/11/14 10:05]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): Hi Starlight!

[2015/11/14 10:05]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): Comphy?

[2015/11/14 10:05]  Elizabeth (elizabethesq): Hi Starlight!

[2015/11/14 10:05]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): hiya starlight

[2015/11/14 10:06]  Starlight Darkmatter: Hi :)

[2015/11/14 10:07]  Elizabeth (elizabethesq): brb

[2015/11/14 10:07]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): well, i would propose that informally we take a look at some options and put moving on the agenda for either our december or january 16 meeting

[2015/11/14 10:07]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): We have what eight or ten residents in the SIM all told ->  offices and residences.

[2015/11/14 10:07]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): 10

[2015/11/14 10:07]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): OK

[2015/11/14 10:07]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): a couple of us rent offices and land at sea level

[2015/11/14 10:08]  Jerkwad Borkotron: Wouldn't you lose the Linden discount if you moved? (the 50% off)

[2015/11/14 10:08]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): mhm

[2015/11/14 10:08]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): but if we can pay less for less land elsewhere, the discount is not worth keeping the full sim when we don't need the full sim

[2015/11/14 10:08]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): That's a fair question.

[2015/11/14 10:08]  Jerkwad Borkotron: Do they offer that kind of discount on Homesteads?

[2015/11/14 10:08]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): But we cannot sue the land we have.

[2015/11/14 10:08]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): it is 37,500/month here

[2015/11/14 10:09]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): We cannot bring others here.

[2015/11/14 10:09]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): and we cannot increase our membership.

[2015/11/14 10:09]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): So untimately, it si a waste.

[2015/11/14 10:10]  Jerkwad Borkotron: Would you like a location that engages the broader SL community??

[2015/11/14 10:10]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): The ten core friends could do with a much smaller property assuming that we want to stick together.

[2015/11/14 10:10]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): one answer is to be near others that have similar interests

[2015/11/14 10:10]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): but, for example, we could probably rent 1/2 a sim for less than what we pay now monthly and be just fine

[2015/11/14 10:11]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): I think it would be exactly the same actually.

[2015/11/14 10:11]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): Don't we get a 50% discount?

[2015/11/14 10:11]  Jerkwad Borkotron: I don't think you would get a discount on 1/2 a sim you'd have to rent from a land baron

[2015/11/14 10:12]  Starlight Darkmatter: Could you divide the land into 1/2 and rent the other half to a nonprofit with a different agenda, and forgo the trouble of moving as well as keep the 50% discount?

[2015/11/14 10:12]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): Is that possible?

[2015/11/14 10:12]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): i think LL has to agree

[2015/11/14 10:12]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): I would be surprised.

[2015/11/14 10:13]  Starlight Darkmatter: Well, you would still make payments to LL but they would pay you.

[2015/11/14 10:13]  Jerkwad Borkotron: That's where the MOMs idea discussed previously came in but then there was the whole issue that restructuring would be difficult so I think that was shelved at that time

[2015/11/14 10:13]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): Yeah, MOMs was the wrong group.

[2015/11/14 10:14]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Education_and_N...

[2015/11/14 10:14]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): Their agenda was incompatible.

[2015/11/14 10:14]  Starlight Darkmatter: Thanks, Tim. Reading...

[2015/11/14 10:14]  Jerkwad Borkotron: For avoidance of doubt, Discounted Regions (or any parts thereof) may not be subleased.

[2015/11/14 10:14]  Jerkwad Borkotron: that's pretty clear

[2015/11/14 10:15]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): like i said, i think we would want to ask them if they have a problem before we sublet to another nonprofit

[2015/11/14 10:15]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): Depends on what the meaning of "is" is.

[2015/11/14 10:15]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): i think MOMs would be a harder sell as they are not a nonprofit

[2015/11/14 10:15]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): the other solution would be to merge with another nonprofit and bring their members into our membership

[2015/11/14 10:15]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): i haven't seen any candidates for that

[2015/11/14 10:15]  Jerkwad Borkotron: What about asking LL to convert to a homestead?

[2015/11/14 10:16]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): i wonder if this is already given the total prims

[2015/11/14 10:16]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): That is a possibility.

[2015/11/14 10:16]  Starlight Darkmatter: "Open Regions" - please define this

[2015/11/14 10:16]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): But the limit on the number of people would eb a problem

[2015/11/14 10:17]  Jerkwad Borkotron: Tier is $125/month on a homestead versus $295 a month

[2015/11/14 10:17]  Jerkwad Borkotron: Yes person limits would be difficult for popular presentations

[2015/11/14 10:17]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): I think you are down to about 10 people.

[2015/11/14 10:17]  Elizabeth (elizabethesq): The alternative to that issue is to have the more popular presentations at another location.

[2015/11/14 10:17]  Jerkwad Borkotron: That's an OpenSim, a homestead limit is 20 people

[2015/11/14 10:17]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): OK 20

[2015/11/14 10:18]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): ah jerkwad, you are right, this is a regular sim

[2015/11/14 10:18]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): yeah, i suppose a solution would be to convert this to a homestead and rent a larger space, like the Rose Theatre, when we have a popular presentation

[2015/11/14 10:18]  Jerkwad Borkotron: A homestead will only have 3750 prims total so it will need a prim hunt to get you under

[2015/11/14 10:20]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): yes, we would probably have to eliminate some stuff to fit, but not too much

[2015/11/14 10:20]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): we are only over by about 150 prims

[2015/11/14 10:20]  Jerkwad Borkotron: On this parcel - the land has at least one more parcel which presumably has prims as well

[2015/11/14 10:21]  Elizabeth (elizabethesq): We wouldn't be moving the home area to the new space from what I have seen.

[2015/11/14 10:21]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): yes, i think it is the center space that has the rest of the prims

[2015/11/14 10:21]  Elizabeth (elizabethesq): Or am I misunderstanding?

[2015/11/14 10:21]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): i think if we moved to a 1/4 sim, for example, we would just have offices rather than offices + home areas

[2015/11/14 10:22]  Elizabeth (elizabethesq): I think so too Tim.

[2015/11/14 10:22]  Jerkwad Borkotron: 1/4 sim would have the same prim count as a homestead - 3750

[2015/11/14 10:22]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): Well, I say that we send out a notice to our members and tell them that we are contemplating downsizing and solicit input at the December meeting.

[2015/11/14 10:22]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): mhm

[2015/11/14 10:23]  Elizabeth (elizabethesq): I think that is a good idea Sam.

[2015/11/14 10:23]  Geri Kahn (geri.kuhn): /me agrees.

[2015/11/14 10:23]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): sounds good

[2015/11/14 10:23]  Starlight Darkmatter: agreed

[2015/11/14 10:24]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): Perhaps we could post a notice here somewhere.

[2015/11/14 10:25]  Elizabeth (elizabethesq): /me nods

[2015/11/14 10:25]  Jerkwad Borkotron: Next month in Aruba?

[2015/11/14 10:26]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): Aruba Beach or Ocean Aruba

[2015/11/14 10:26]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): There are two Aruba SIMs.

[2015/11/14 10:26]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): sounds good

[2015/11/14 10:26]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): december on the one and january on the other

[2015/11/14 10:26]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): That works.

[2015/11/14 10:27]  Jerkwad Borkotron: No I meant RL the balance sheet shows $1700 USD maybe we could get a deal on commercial

[2015/11/14 10:27]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): so the association has about 485,000L at present

[2015/11/14 10:27]  Elizabeth (elizabethesq): /me laughs

[2015/11/14 10:27]  Jerkwad Borkotron: I'm willing to chip in for drinks with pretty umbrellas in them

[2015/11/14 10:28]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): lol

[2015/11/14 10:28]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): excellent

[2015/11/14 10:28]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): LOL - $1,700 USD wouldn't buy as a day there.

[2015/11/14 10:28]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): We will need to redouble the dues first.

[2015/11/14 10:28]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): i don't think you could fly one of us there at that rate

[2015/11/14 10:28]  Jerkwad Borkotron: We may have to accept Florida

[2015/11/14 10:29]  Jerkwad Borkotron: Oh the compromises

[2015/11/14 10:29]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): lol

[2015/11/14 10:29]  Jerkwad Borkotron: Or Vegas - Vegas is cheap

[2015/11/14 10:29]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): there you go

[2015/11/14 10:29]  Elizabeth (elizabethesq): /me laughs.

[2015/11/14 10:29]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): we will go play the penny slots in Vegas

[2015/11/14 10:29]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): we have 170,000 pennies in the bank

[2015/11/14 10:29]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): we can play for a LONG time

[2015/11/14 10:29]  Jerkwad Borkotron: lol

[2015/11/14 10:30]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): YOu haven't been to Vegas for a while have you.

[2015/11/14 10:30]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): not since 1998

[2015/11/14 10:30]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): All you use now in the slots is a credit card.

[2015/11/14 10:30]  Jerkwad Borkotron: They don't take cash?

[2015/11/14 10:30]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): that is sad

[2015/11/14 10:32]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): You might be able to get a debit card there, but they discourage limits.

[2015/11/14 10:32]  Jerkwad Borkotron: How usury

[2015/11/14 10:32]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): GD games of cahnce!

[2015/11/14 10:32]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): chance.

[2015/11/14 10:33]  Jerkwad Borkotron: But back to my original point. There's no reason to downsize the sim if there's no plan to use the money saved somehow.

[2015/11/14 10:33]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): alright, i will post a notice that we are contemplating a move of the offices and solicit feedback at the next meeting

[2015/11/14 10:33]  Jerkwad Borkotron: Unless we're doing the Vegas thing after all :)

[2015/11/14 10:34]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): You are right, Jerk, but my starting point is that I am getting burned out.

[2015/11/14 10:34]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): I want to support the group, but I feel like I am wasting my time and money.

[2015/11/14 10:35]  Geri Kahn (geri.kuhn): /me nods.

[2015/11/14 10:35]  Jerkwad Borkotron: understood

[2015/11/14 10:35]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): If we decided that the group should be reduced to like 10 or 20 people, and we dropped the dues, we could contiute to get together for a long time.

[2015/11/14 10:35]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): Otherwise, I can just stop paying rent on my office and house.

[2015/11/14 10:36]  Elizabeth (elizabethesq): /me nods in agreement

[2015/11/14 10:36]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): I can get a parcel anywhere for the smae price I am paying here.

[2015/11/14 10:36]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): same

[2015/11/14 10:37]  Geri Kahn (geri.kuhn): I would be in favor of scaling down.

[2015/11/14 10:37]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): whispers: Starlight has a room in my house that she never uses. So she doesn' really care - right

[2015/11/14 10:37]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): right Starlight?

[2015/11/14 10:37]  Geri Kahn (geri.kuhn): /me laughs.

[2015/11/14 10:38]  Starlight Darkmatter: Actually I was just thinking about how well this group manages its money .... The other nonprofits usually work off some grant or have a fixed dollar amount to work with an nothing more usually than to pay the land rent. Your group actually has a profit due to the dues.

[2015/11/14 10:38]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): Well, that has been a sticking point too.

[2015/11/14 10:39]  Starlight Darkmatter: Clears throat.... um .... well I don't come into second life much anymore, Sam.

[2015/11/14 10:39]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): And iti isn't "your" group, it is "our group.

[2015/11/14 10:39]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): I know, I am teasing you.

[2015/11/14 10:39]  Elizabeth (elizabethesq): I think that may be the best idea for the association too.  Then we have the funds to continue for a longer period of time and not have to worry every so often about what we should do.  The dues can continue - as it really isn't an excessive amount and at the end of the day, it's a bar association - we all know what it costs to belong to a RL bar association - this is a major bargain!

[2015/11/14 10:39]  Jerkwad Borkotron: The thing is that even if revenues and donations and dues dropped to zero there is enough in the account to pay the sim for 1 year so there's no great urgency to move. There is only one liability - sim tier.

[2015/11/14 10:41]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): That's why I suggested the word "contemplating."

[2015/11/14 10:41]  Elizabeth (elizabethesq): /me smiles.  That's the word I put in the minutes too.

[2015/11/14 10:42]  Geri Kahn (geri.kuhn): May we consider it an agenda item for next time and mov e along with the current agenda?

[2015/11/14 10:42]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): Aye.

[2015/11/14 10:43]  Elizabeth (elizabethesq): /me nods.

[2015/11/14 10:43]  Starlight Darkmatter: ok

[2015/11/14 10:43]  Jerkwad Borkotron: yes

[2015/11/14 10:43]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): great

[2015/11/14 10:44]  Jerkwad Borkotron: I'm just looking outside and you still have the 2014 meeting schedule up that may need an update

[2015/11/14 10:45]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): are there any other agenda items for today?

[2015/11/14 10:46]  Elizabeth (elizabethesq): Is anyone scheduled to speak in the next month or two?

[2015/11/14 10:46]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): i do not have anyone on the agenda for speaking

[2015/11/14 10:47]  Elizabeth (elizabethesq): /me nods.

[2015/11/14 10:48]  Geri Kahn (geri.kuhn): Is there a holiday party that we can all go to that we can crash?

[2015/11/14 10:48]  Geri Kahn (geri.kuhn): I.e., that we don't have to plan.

[2015/11/14 10:48]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): lol

[2015/11/14 10:49]  Elizabeth (elizabethesq): /me smiles

[2015/11/14 10:49]  Jerkwad Borkotron: This may be a stupid thought on my part but perhaps you could ask Linden Legal to speak on some cogent topic. I don't know that they'd be willing but I"m sure any such presentation would be very well attended.

[2015/11/14 10:49]  Elizabeth (elizabethesq): If we decide to have an impromptu holiday party here - sans planning - I'll gladly sing free of charge.

[2015/11/14 10:50]  Geri Kahn (geri.kuhn): Party at Sam's house?

[2015/11/14 10:50]  Elizabeth (elizabethesq): /me smiles

[2015/11/14 10:51]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): yeah sam has to decorate it then for the holidays

[2015/11/14 10:51]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): Any time.

[2015/11/14 10:51]  Elizabeth (elizabethesq): We can always have it at my house too.  Though I took it down this morning.  *laughs*  I got bored.

[2015/11/14 10:51]  Jerkwad Borkotron: Egg nog?

[2015/11/14 10:51]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): BYOB

[2015/11/14 10:52]  Geri Kahn (geri.kuhn): I love egg nog.

[2015/11/14 10:52]  Elizabeth (elizabethesq): Me too!

[2015/11/14 10:52]  Starlight Darkmatter: I do have a question.  The Berkman Center (Harvard) is taking applications currently. Does anyone live in that area? It might be an idea to put forth an application with a research question related to OUR group's interests.

[2015/11/14 10:53]  Starlight Darkmatter: The Fellow positions do not include a stipend for living arrangements.

[2015/11/14 10:54]  Elizabeth (elizabethesq): I don't know of anyone in the vicinity.

[2015/11/14 10:55]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): Doesn't Long Island qualify?

[2015/11/14 10:55]  Elizabeth (elizabethesq): /me laughs.  Still a bit of a hike to Boston!

[2015/11/14 10:55]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): I',m inthe vicinty of Fairbanks,it's only 400 miles.

[2015/11/14 10:56]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): ok so our 12-12 meeting will be our holiday party at sam's?

[2015/11/14 10:56]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): OK, sounds good.

[2015/11/14 10:57]  Elizabeth (elizabethesq): That sounds like a good plan!

[2015/11/14 10:57]  Geri Kahn (geri.kuhn): /me grins.

[2015/11/14 10:57]  Tim Faith (yoss.kamachi): absent an objection shall we then adjourn until 12-12?

[2015/11/14 10:58]  Starlight Darkmatter: Well, I would like to suggest a notice go out about the fellowship. https://cyber.law.harvard.edu/getinvolved/fellowships/opencall20162017

[2015/11/14 10:58]  Sam Courtois. Esq. (sam4.courtois): Please send notices out to as many members as possible and please post something on the sSIM?

[2015/11/14 10:59]  Starlight Darkmatter: Maybe one of our members does live in the area and could represent our group.

[2015/11/14 10:59]  Elizabeth (elizabethesq): /me smiles.  Sounds like a good plan - we can send out both notices.

[2015/11/14 11:00]  Jerkwad Borkotron: I have plenty of family in Boston and I visit there often but I am not an attorney nor do I play one on TV so I am the wrong person to do this

[2015/11/14 11:00]  Elizabeth (elizabethesq): /me giggles

[2015/11/14 11:00]  Geri Kahn (geri.kuhn): Is our meeting adjourned?
